Winter Weather Heading to OK

Enjoy warmer weather the next few days. An artic blast into Oklahoma is expected early next week, bringing with it winter weather.

To give you an idea, the forecast for the next couple of days includes sunshine and temps in the 50’s. The forecast high temp for Sunday is 71 degrees with a slight chance of rain. But, conditions will drastically change on Monday.

The highs for next week are in the upper 20’s with chances of freezing rain, sleet and snow for most of the week.

So, you only have a couple of days to finish winterizing your home and bringing in your survival supplies. Remember a year ago? The major ice storm of 2007 created a power outage affecting half-a-million homes in the Tulsa area and it lasted for several days.  29 people died. Let’s take action from the lessons learned last year.
