It’s another hot one today. It’s already 90 degrees in the shade. I should have mowed the lawns earlier this morning, but I waited too long. I guess my neighbor had the right idea. She mowed at 8:00. It was only 84 degrees then.  It’ll be too hot this afternoon. Heat index of 103 degrees isn’t conducive to yard work. Okay, that’s the excuse I’m using. There’s always tomorrow, if I get out of bed early enough.

I’m not really being lazy though. Not completely. I am doing laundry. That’s productive. I did the dishes. That’s productive too. I’m kicked back in my office chair with my feet on my desk writing this. I think that’s considered semi-productive. Isn’t it?

I have the urge to take a road trip. I’ll have 4 days off in a row next weekend, if I can wait that long. Not sure where I’d go, not that the destination really matters.  It’s the getting away from the hustle of everyday life that matters.  Making a memory.

I know I’ve put my photography and writing on the back burner. I’m in need of motivation and past experience tells me a road trip might do the trick. New surroundings. New experiences. New faces. There’s a correlation between environmental changes and creativity.  Next weekend.

The rest of today?  I’m going to out-load the chase gear from the truck. Chase season is all but over. At least for now. I need to forage for food (go to the market), that’s always fun. NOT. Maybe I’ll catch a movie or read. I’ve been reading “A Cold Day for Murder” by Dana Stobenow. It’s been a good book so far.

Yep.  A lazy Saturday.
