UPDATED at 8:39 PM: The death toll from this morning’s incident has been raised to four and the number of injuries increased to forty-four.

On a day when Stillwater should be showing support for the Pokes, tragedy struck. A car plowed through a crowd of spectators watching the OSU homecoming parade killing three and injuring thirty-four, eight of them critically. The injured were taken to area hospitals by helicopters, ambulances and personal vehicles.
Arrested at the scene was the driver, Stillwater resident Adacia Chambers. Chambers has been arrested for DUI, however many more charges are likely as the investigation moves forward.
Oklahoma State University shared their condolences to the victims of this morning’s tragedy.

OSU announced that the OSU vs. Kansas game will be played as scheduled. #StillwaterStrong. David Boren, President of the University of Oklahoma, also sent his prayers.
