ABC Interview with Tim Cook: Apple’s position on tech security

Over the years, I’ve had my personal information stolen by hackers on more than one occasion.  Including:  my employer, my bank, 2 credit cards and a major hotel.  What comes from these hacks?  I’m offered credit monitoring.  Not much of a punishment for security failures.

ABC News interviewed Tim Cook, Apple CEO.  The interview was to answer to the FBI’s request for Apple to develop the code to hack into a terrorist’s iPhone.  But, as Mr. Cook pointed out, it’s not about one iPhone.

I agree.

Such software would create a vulnerability to the iPhone, putting millions of people at risk.

This case will end up in the Supreme Court.  Until then, our phone data is secure.
