Already a killer of nearly three hundred people, Hurricane Matthew is moving up the Florida coastline. It’s a category 4 with sustained winds of 130 mph. Millions of people have been asked to evacuate. Right now it looks like it could make near-landfall between Port Saint Lucie and Fort Pierce tomorrow.
It’s unclear at this point how Hurricane Nicole, now a category 1, will affect the system. It’s entirely possible that Matthew could hit Georgia and then circle around towards Florida again. It’s also possible that Nicole could block that move.
Here’s the forecast models. It’s anybody’s guess.
