Chase Vehicle
I don’t have a DOW or a TIV, but I do have a truck I use
for chasing. Of course, it’s the only vehicle I own, so
you might see it around town even when there’s nothing
to chase.
Contact Us
Contacting me is easy and there’s several ways to do
that. From email to Twitter, we’re not far away.
Field Journal
After some of the adventures, I take my field notes and
write about the experience.
Weather
Forecasting
Here’s some of the tools I use when I’m looking at what
the weather is going to do, and whether or not severe
weather is in the forecast. Many of the listed model
sources are used help us define target areas for a
chase.
Hurricane Watch
I know, I’m a ways away from hurricane-prone areas, but
you’d be surprised at how much a hurricane can affect
our weather right here in Oklahoma. The Hurricane
Watch page has been rebuilt, using StormPulse
interactive imagery. It also has links to other
hurricane information sites, including state sponsored
sites for the Gulf of Mexico and the Eastern Seaboard.
Live Chase
When our chase status is ACTIVE, you’ll find a map with
our GPS location and the Twitter feed right here. Links
to the Live Radar, Chat Room and SevereTV are also
available from this page.
Live Radar
I use StormLab radar software and Interwarn to produce
up-to-date images and bulletins. When I have the
software running on my home-base computer, the images
and reports generated are uploaded to this page.
Weather Now
It’s important to me that you have the latest weather
information and I don’t want you to only depend on the
information I’m providing from my computer and
software. The Weather Now page is filled with weather
images that are fed from the National Weather Service,
always the latest info.

Image Gallery
I try to capture a few images whenever I go on a chase
adventure. The photographs and video clips from those
trips are posted here. Of course, they’re not always
weather related images. They could be photographs of an
old building, a dirt road, or something else I found
interesting along the way.
Severe Radio
I’m using the BlogTalkRadio.com services to post
podcasts and maybe we’ll host a few live shows where
listeners can call in and participate.
Severe TV
For streaming video, we’re using the services of
Ustream.tv. You’ll also find a link to the player on
the Live Chase page where we’ll broadcast live from the
field.
Community
Event Calendar
When there’s an event or activity I want to pass on,
you’ll find it here on the calendar. Of course, if
you have something you want to add you can send me the
info and I’ll try to list it for you.
Kiva Team
Kiva.org is a microlending web site. We have a Kiva
lending team called the Route 66 Travelers.
All of the necessary information is on this page,
including where to go to sign up and join our team too.
Link Directory
Over the past few years, I’ve collected some of my
favorite web site links. The lists of links includes
everything from weather information to things to do in
Tulsa. If you have a link you’d like to see added to
the directory, send me the link and if I like it, I’ll
post it.
