Let’s just say the RUC forecast models are not doing well so far this year. We are going to rationalize this event and put it down in the book as a training exercise. Interecepted storm cell just west Cushing, OK at 10:43PM CT. After several cell mergers with adjecent cells the storm became a massive complex with little organization.
Overall environment was well sheared, but with loss of daytime heating and lack of forcing mechanism, the storm updraft weakened considerably to the point that supercellular structure could not be maintained.
