You would have thought Sunday was shaping up to be the day.  The SPC elevated the risk for severe storms and began issuing watches and warnings very early in the day.  We were hopeful that day #2 would produce the stuff we’re out there for.  I guess in many respects it was a productive day.  But, the storms were very un-organized and so were we.  We learn by the mistakes we make, right?  On the bright side, we didn’t miss “the big one.”

This is the storm we followed for much of the day.  It was an ever changing angry storm.  These pictures were taken outside of Shattuck, SW of Woodward.

All in all, the weekend was a good one.  We traveled 909 miles in two days, chasing a few major storm systems.  Not a great day for photo opportunites.  But, like fishing, even a bad day of storm chasing beats a day of work.
