Atlantis landing delayed due to poor weather conditions

For the second day, the landing of the space shuttle Atlantis at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida has been delayed due to poor weather conditions.  The next available landing window in Florida is Sunday at 9:11 CT.

This purpose of this mission was to make repairs and upgrades to the ageing Hubble telescope.

The crew of ST-125 has been in space for 12 days now and they have enough supplies to last them until Monday.   The weather forecast for Kennedy on Sunday calls for rain and thunderstorms throughout the day.

An alternate landing location at Edwards AFB could be used if necessary.
