Update 6/15/2010, 6:47am: Although the tweet counts aren’t correct, it appears that the Twitter service is back in business.
You may have guessed that Twitter isn’t working this evening. This is causing the main page of the web site to load slowly; the Twitter feed is trying to get data from Twitter.
The official reason for the outage is:
“We’re currently experiencing site availability issues resulting from the failed enhancement of a new approach to timeline caching. Our infrastructure and operations engineers are currently working to resolve this. We’ll update you soon with an ETA.”
So, if you wanting to know what’s going on with this weather, go to the Weather Now or Live Radar pages on the web site.
They’re working on getting things back up, but it’s a slow process. As soon as the service is restored, I’ll begin tweeting again.
Technology…gotta love it.
