Front could bring a chance of rain to Oklahoma

We have our first hurricane of the season.  Hurricane Adrian has developed out in the Pacific.  Looking at the forecast track, it appears Adrian will stay away from land.  But, Mexico is under a tropical storm watch while we wait and see what it’s going to do.

Here in Oklahoma a cold front will be dipping south into our area over the next couple of days.  The dryline will most likely remain in western Oklahoma and somewhat lower pressure will help change things a bit.  We’re still looking at above average temps for this time of year, but we’ll get a break from the mid to upper 90 degree weather that’s been common in northeast Oklahoma.  Daytime highs are expected to be in the upper 80s and low 90s, at least into the weekend.  Overnight lows will be in the 70s.

Our best chance of rain in the Tulsa area will be on Saturday, however it’s a very slight chance at this point.  Obviously it’s too early to really pinpoint what will happen.  We can hope though.
