Storm Chaser Andy Gabrielson, findthetornado.com, was killed earlier today in a traffic accident on the Turner Turnpike near Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Andy was returning home from chasing storms yesterday in Texas.
Andy’s chase vehicle was hit head-on by someone travelling the wrong way on the turnpike. Apparently that driver, also killed in the accident, was driving under the influence of alcohol.
The chaser community responded to the news of his death in mass by turning on their GPS, lighting up the tracking map on Spotter Network.
