12:20 AM (Wednesday morning)

The tornado watch for Tulsa county has been canceled.  We dodged a bullet.  Kansas and Missouri were not so lucky.  Arkansas and Missouri need to continue monitoring weather conditions.  Tornadoes are still being reported in Missouri and storms are moving into Arkansas.

Harveyville, KS has sustained substantial damage.  One report indicated that 40% of the town’s structures have been damaged or destroyed and several injuries have been reported.

Our prayers are with everyone who have been and will be affected by the storms.

6:30 am

It’ll probably start as showers this afternoon, but things could turn severe this afternoon. It looks like the primary threat will be gusty winds and hail, there’s a slight risk of tornadoes as well.

I don’t know if I’ll go chasing this afternoon, but I’ll be watching it and if something should develop locally, I’ll get out there for a bit.

Here’s the area most likely to see a tornado if one should develop.

I’m going to the office, but check back as the day goes on. I’ll try to keep everyone updated.
