Colder temps and rain expected in Tulsa

A cold front is moving into the Tulsa area right now.  At 2:45 a.m., it’s 45° in Bartlesville and 64° in Tulsa.  Temperatures are going to drop drastically in Tulsa over the next hour and it’s not going to warm back up either.  The daytime highs will only reach into the upper 40s.

Rain is still expected in our area, but the rain totals aren’t quite as bad as the models indicated a couple of days ago.  Total rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches through Saturday night is likely.  There’s a slight chance of showers on Sunday, but we’ll probably see the sun poke through the clouds some and temperatures should be back in the 60s.

The chance of severe weather for today has also diminished.  We could still have some thunderstorm activity, but the greatest risk for severe thunderstorms will be far to our south.
