I’m finally beginning to realize that this chase season is over.  Temps will be inching towards 100 degrees this week and chances of any storms are nil.  It’s been a slow season for sure.

So, the chase gear is being pulled from the truck and my life will get back to more normal schedules.

As I always do, I’ve watched weather developments closely all season, but I’ve only chased 4 times.  My schedule had some to do with the minimum chase days, along with being picky and not chasing crap set-ups.  Of course the weather patterns in the region didn’t lend much help to increasing the numbers either.  Usually, I’d have that many chases under my belt by the first week of May.

However, this is Oklahoma.  There’s always the chance that something will pop up through the summer months and if it looks good, I’ll be out there, camera in hand.

So, here we go.  I’m winding down from the spring and getting ready for the hot summer months.

What will I do to occupy my time?  I’ve planned a couple hiking days yet this month.  I’m really looking forward to those.  It’s been a couple of years since I last went hiking and I can certainly use the exercise, (no comments please).  I also have some home projects I want to get done this summer.  Then a camping trip is planned for the fall.

I won’t be sitting idle, that’s for sure.

Thanks to everyone for following me this season.  I hope you’ll continue to follow my adventures, whatever they’ll be.  I’ll continue to post to the web site and I hope you’ll stay in touch when I do.

Peace.
