Tropical Storm Warnings issued for Gulf States – preparing for Debby

For more information about this storm, visit http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/.

Update 6/27/12 – 6:40 AM:  Debby has made her way across Florida and has become a tropical depression on the east coast, moving out into open seas.  The crisis is all but over.

Update 6/25/12 – 10:00 PM:  As you can see, Debby has changed course again and she’s now heading east, towards Florida.  Still expected to make landfall on Wednesday, this storm has already dumped plenty of rain and spawned tornadoes.

Update 6/24/12 – 5:30 PM:  The direction of Debby has changed and is now expected to move to the east and then north.  The warning for Louisiana has been removed and the watches and warnings now include more of Florida.  As well, it appears that the storm won’t have enough travel time to build into a hurricane.  Debby will, most likely, remain a Tropical Storm.

Update 6/24/12 – 10:00 AM: The Tropical Storm Warning issued yesterday has been expanded and now includes portions of the Alabama and Florida coasts.  This storm could become a hurricane by mid week.
