Snow beginning to fall in Tulsa

It’s a little after 1:00 a.m.and we have 34° and light snow in Tulsa.  We could see 2 – 4 inches of snow by morning. 20130226-0114-radar

The Winter Weather Advisory issued yesterday remains in effect for the area until noon today.  On the bright side, the Blizzard and Winter Storm Warning areas are shrinking.

The snow should end by noon.  In the Tulsa metro, we’ll likely have around 3 inches of snow accumulation by the time it ends.  Northwest of us, total snowfall could be around 6 inches.

If your day today and tomorrow includes travel, you’ll want to make sure you check the road conditions for your route before you head out.  Even though Tulsa and areas to the south aren’t getting a big snowfall this time, areas to the north and to the west are.
