You didn’t put the big coat in the back of the closet, did you?

If you were enjoying the warm weather the past couple of days, I hope you didn’t think that trend would continue.  It’s a “Mother Nature Tease.”  After sunshine and 70s in Tulsa, the weather pattern is taking yet another turn.

It’s basically cloudy, cool and drizzly this morning.  Here in Tulsa, it’s a balmy 40° and won’t warm up much.  Today’s high is only expected to reach into the upper 40s with a chance of showers through the day.  A thunderstorm isn’t completely out of the question, but I doubt any thunderstorms that develop will be severe in nature.

The rest of the week the overnight lows will be in the 30s and 40s and daytime highs in the low to mid 60s.  A little more seasonable and not the spring-like weather we had last week.

There’s another downward trend coming on Thursday, when highs will struggle to get into the upper 40s, along with a chance of cold rain.  There’s even talk of sleet and snow on Friday.  No, I’m not kidding.  I don’t think that’ll amount to much, but the big coat will probably be needed.  You didn’t put that in the back of the closet yet, did you?

The wild swings in the weather this time of year is typical for Oklahoma.  Don’t get discouraged.  Spring will eventually get here.
