Update on the Moore tornado

The death toll from the Moore tornado was dropped to 24, 8 of those were children.  Over 200 people were injured.  Obviously these counts could be revised while the search continues and the numbers are verified.

However, it is being reported that all residents have been accounted for.

The storm was rated an EF5 at one point with winds up to 210 mph.  It was 1.3 miles wide and traveled for 17 miles. It stayed on the ground for 50 minutes and caused an estimated one billion dollars in property damage.

Amazing stories of survival continue to pour in.  It’s truly a miracle more people weren’t injured or killed.  This could have been so much worse.
