Waiting on the snow?

The forecast has changed hour by hour the past couple of days.  It’s quite obvious that forecasters, including myself, are unsure of what is going to arrive here in Tulsa.  Forecasts have included freezing rain, sleet and up to 2″ of snow.  None of that has panned out.

A dusting of snow is likely, but we could get up to 1/2″ of a snow/sleet mix.  Much depends on the temperatures at the different levels of the atmosphere.

One thing is for sure: it is cold.  Currently in Tulsa it’s 24° with wind chill values around 15°.  And, the precipitation (snow, freezing rain and sleet) that dumped several inches in western Oklahoma is moving this way.

So, put a log on the fire and cuddle.  Whatever happens later this afternoon, you’ll have the right elements going.

I’m thinking chicken and noodles for dinner tonight.  Comfort food on a cold night.
