Tornado Outbreak Kills at Least 17 in Arkansas, Oklahoma: State-by-State Updates – weather.com Timing of Severe Storms

Multiple tornadoes, damaging winds and hail storms were reported over a large swath of the Plains on Sunday night as a multi-day severe weather outbreak intensified. At least 16 people died as one or more tornadoes ripped through central Arkansas from a long-lived supercell thunderstorm. At least one person was killed when a tornado destroyed parts of the downtown area of Quapaw, Oklahoma, according to officials.

The storms marked the beginning of a multi-day severe weather outbreak expected to affect much of the South and southern parts of the Midwest.
