Arctic blast heading for Oklahoma

The remnants of Typhoon Nuri is slamming the Bering Sea and western Alaska sending the cast and crew of Deadliest Catch back to to the dock.  You don’t think this storm system will affect us here in Oklahoma?  Think again.

This storm, at one time 800 miles wide and packing winds of 180 mph with 50 ft. waves, is large and powerful enough to “adjust” the jet stream.  The result in the lower 48 will be a major drop in temperatures that could be 20 to 30 degrees colder than normal.  Here in Tulsa, low temps will be in the 20s and 30s next week and we’ll have a chance of snow — yes snow — next weekend.

You have a couple of days to get the winter preps done at your home.  Disconnect water hoses, finish the weather stripping, etc.  The Big Chill is coming.
