Do tropical storms affect us here in Oklahoma? You betcha. Tropical Storm Bill will be pushing into Oklahoma over the next couple of days, delivering a few inches of rain. In advance of the moisture, a flash flood watch has been issued for much of NE Oklahoma, including Tulsa. The watch is now in effect until Friday morning.
“3 TO 7 INCHES WILL BE COMMON ACROSS THE WATCH AREA WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OF UP TO AROUND A FOOT POSSIBLE. THIS WILL LIKELY LEAD TO SIGNIFICANT LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODING.”
