What else would I do on a warm afternoon?  That’s right, take a few hours to practice some macro photography.  The first thing I shot was this model of a Ford Ranchero.  I like playing with light, so it was a good time.

No, shooting a model truck wasn’t challenging enough.  So I found something a little more interesting.

Let’s play a game.  What is it?

Not sure?  How about now?

Still not sure?

It’s a shell.  A very small shell.

How’d I shoot these photographs?  Here’s my set-up.

Nikon D500, Sigma 50mm macro lens, macro focusing rail on a tripod with a shutter release cable and a Genaray LED light panel.

Great way to spend an afternoon.  I can mow tomorrow.  Right?
