The week of destruction continues

5/28/19, 11:00 am update

The latest outlook is more severe than it was yesterday. The areas of concern have been narrowed down.

Initiation will likely be around 3:00 p.m. local time and last through tomorrow. The greatest risks will be heaving rain, flooding, gusty winds and the potential for damaging tornadoes. Not what we need.

More later.

As if we’ve not had enough, a new round of severe storms is expected to hit Oklahoma tomorrow. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough. A week of destruction is enough for all of us.

The Army Corps of Engineers will be releasing increased water amounts from Keystone. That’ll continue until Thursday. With more rain in our forecast, that could be extended a few more days. Not good news for communities on the river.

Hang in there. Eventually this weather pattern will change. For now we have another couple of days to get through. One thing is for sure, we’ll remember the spring of 2019 for years to come.

For me, I’m getting food stocked back up today, and I’m going to attempt to mow the lawn in the front. The back is nothing but mush, so that will have to wait until we have a couple days of dry weather.

Stay strong, my friends. Stay strong.
