It is here and zombies are likely to begin showing up at the Sonic wanting raw hamburgers – and tots.
As you’ve probably learned, The governor has reported the first confirmed case of the Coronavirus in Oklahoma. The others tested are negative for the virus. Kansas also reported their first case. It’s still not panic time. There’s not an outbreak here. At least not yet.
I went to the market yesterday to pick up a few things. I did want another bottle of sanitizer for the office, but they were out of stock. From what I’ve heard, that’s not uncommon. People are stockpiling shit. Me? I have toilet paper and food for a couple weeks. I’m not planning to do much more than that. Not for now, anyway.
Media is still having a runaway with this thing. Doomsday scenarios abound. Conspiracy theories are prevalent in the news and on social media. I’m still standing by my post last week. It’s still not time to panic. I doubt schools and businesses are going to close their doors anytime soon. Grocery stores will re-stock supplies and life will be near to normal for a while.
What the CDC is saying makes sense. Take actions you would normally take during the flu season. Stay out of large crowds, stay away from people (even those in your home) who exhibit cold-like symptoms, wash your hands often, and stay home if you’re sick. If we do all these things, we’ll get through this.
