Made another run to the food market

I ventured out into the unknown this morning at 7 a.m. to pick up a few things at the market. Practicing my social distancing by arriving at the store early. I bought mostly perishable items like fresh produce, milk and cheese, and a few cans of soup and other normal weekly shopping goods. No panic buys.

I can report that there’s no toilet paper there. Crazy shit (pun intended). I sure hope everyone washes their hands as they use all of those rolls. Fortunately I stay stocked pretty well on the 2-ply sheets of gold. I think I’m good for at least a week or four. They say they’re going to get a shipment Monday morning, if the truck isn’t hijacked on the way. Well you never know about the T.P. cartels. They’re a vicious lot. Any chance of Sears bringing back the catalog?

No zombies encountered.

My next run today will be to Home Depot for weed killer and fertilizer. Hey, you gotta have a nice looking lawn during an apocalypse . I’ll pick up morsels for the pup while I’m out.

After that run, I’ll have my preps done for today.

On a more serious note, Tulsa Mayor Bynum has canceled all public permits for events expecting over 250 people. That’s good news, although some folks aren’t real happy about it. I don’t care. Sometimes you have to save people from themselves.

For the germ infested kiddos, spring break is next week and an emergency meeting is being held by the school board on Monday to decide whether or not to extend the break. I’m thinking they will. Public transportation is operating normally, for now.

I hope you all are doing well. Hang in there. This will eventually be a memory and we’ll look back on the 2020 Pandemic and know we did everything possible to stay healthy. It’s up to each of us.

Keep a sense of humor, wash your hands often, stay safe and take care of each other.
