The fact big tech has the power to silence dissention isn’t what worries me. What worries me is that it is actually happening. The First Amendment is under siege by the rich and powerful in this country in an attempt to silence everyone who doesn’t think like they do.
I’m hopeful Monday will bring a wave of anti-trust legal actions against Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, Apple, and Google. Then lawmakers need to begin the process of passing laws to regulate these companies and the platforms they provide.
All voices matter, even when we disagree with what’s being said.
