8:40 pm update: The NWS has preliminarily reported a rated EF1 tornado touched down at approximately 7:13PM, NE of Hanna, OK (70 miles south of Tulsa).

Well, now. The anticipated weather yesterday, including issuance of a tornado watch, became a lot of rain and not much else. In a way, that’s a good thing. A couple tornado warnings were issued in Oklahoma early, but those weren’t in the Tulsa area. They haven’t confirmed any touched down or reports of damage because of them. Here in Tulsa it was rain. I watched the storms head this way ready to head out, but ended up going to bed early. I was a little disappointed.

I hope you all survived.

Maybe next time.
