I wanted to give you all an update.

Liza is home over the weekend. The vet couldn’t find anything that pointed to her lack of thirst. The hospital did give her IV fluids and the vet suggested that I stop giving her jerky treats and to change her food to a more balanced fresh food. Yes, the food that is kept in the refrigerator at the market. Other than that, I’ve fed her some water with a syringe and last night she did drink some water on her own. That was welcomed. But, today, she’s, again, not drinking. I’m hoping she’s just got a bug that will run its course. If any of you have ideas, please send me an email. I’m at a loss. I know if she continues this, she won’t survive. Like us, she has to have water.

For me, it’s been a rough morning. Had to start my day with the nebulizer and I’ve just felt “off” most of the day. Fatigue, brain fog, etc. I guess that’s to be expected. There’s a zoom meeting of the support group I joined tonight and I plan on logging on for that. It’s a day-to-day thing right now. I felt pretty good yesterday. That was nice. I did a little laundry and fixed a real meal for supper. I know I needed it, although my appetite isn’t there.

On the bright side, I am going to watch a Billy Elliot Live with my granddaughters at 3 o’clock. No, I’m not with them in person, but my son-in-law got it set up so we can watch it together virtually. I’m looking forward to it and I think they are, too. I need to start feeling better for more than a day before I can make the trip to see them. Hopefully that’ll be soon. As a side note, I had seeing the musical when it was in Texas (bucket list) but for whatever reason at the time, I didn’t. I regret that.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! I hope you’re having a wonderful day and enjoying your time with your children, if at all possible. The greatest gift I’ve ever received has been my children. I can’t imagine my life without them.

Well, I’ll post again when I have something to share. Thanks again for being here. That means a lot to me.
