Audio books are one thing, but, to me anyway, fictional audio dramas take you to the next level. A modern version of old radio shows, the audio design is well thought out and awesome voice actors play the parts. I’m always looking for new ones to jump into.
Here’s a few of my favorites. All of them are available on Spotify and, I’m sure, other podcast services.
- Blackout (Qcode/Endeavor). It’s produced by and stars Rami Malek (Mr. Robot and Bohemian Rhapsody). They’re on Season 2 now.
- Tower 4 (7 Lamb Productions). I just finished Season 1 and I can’t wait for season 2.
- Point Mystic (Christopher Reynaga). This one is well done and a little creepy. The podcast actually started in 2016, but new episodes have recently been added. The latest episode was added on June 8. I posted the first four episodes in 2017 here. Just search Point Mystic.
- Rabbits (Public Radio Alliance). It’s a great story and proved to me that Public Radio Alliance puts out great dramas. The latest episode was just dropped on June 8.
- Borrosca (Qcode). This limited series stars Cole Sprouse (Riverdale) and he also produces it. The series finished in July of 2020, but this is one drama I have listened to a couple of times. It’s just that good.
- Story (7 Lamb Productions). 7 Lamb hasn’t disappointed me yet and “Story” is another must listen to podcast. Season 1, “The Walk” was loosely based on the true story of the writer’s walk from Washington to Florida. Yes, he walked. Season 2, “The Stone House” is a new story based on creepy shit. Listen and you’ll see what I mean.
A few others are older podcasts but still worth a listen. I’ve listened to all of them more than once.

What can I say. Lockdown was boring and the news was depressing.
