Unfortunately, Oklahoma didn’t get out of the storms without tornadoes. Although the NWS hasn’t officially rated the storms or assessed the damage, we did hear that 1 person was killed and dozens injured in the Idabelle area. My thoughts and prayers are with those that were impacted by these storms.

Much of eastern Oklahoma is now under a Tornado Watch until 8:00 pm. Storms are beginning to develop. Be weather aware.

Storms are firing up as the cold front moves through.

I’ve been looking at the models today and it does look like we’ll get some severe thunderstorms in Tulsa tomorrow.

A front will move through overnight and rain is expected all day on Friday. Some of the developing thunderstorms could be severe.

Here’s area of convection for tomorrow. Tulsa is in the slight risk area.

If they develop, the severe weather will likely occur in the afternoon and evening hours. Highs in the upper 70s is expected with dewpoints in the mid 60s.

This storm system is worth watching. I’ll update this post as things change, so stayed tuned.
