Tornado Watch Issued, includes Tulsa

April 20, 2023 update

Fortunately we didn’t get severe storms here in Tulsa, but not everyone was that lucky. I watched the storms unfolding around OKC and tracked the tornado into Cole, OK. Three people died and several were injured as the storms moved through Oklahoma.

This is the last radar image I captured as a tornado hit Cole.

It is being preliminarily reported that over four dozen tornadoes were reported last night across the nation. Fourteen of those in Oklahoma.

My prayers are with those affected by the storms. If you weren’t affected negatively by these storms, I hope you take time now to get prepared for the next round of storms. Believe me, there will be a next time.

The NWS has issued a Tornado Watch for much of central and eastern Oklahoma. It’s in effect until midnight.

Make sure your safe place is ready, you have multiple ways to receive warnings and stay tuned to local media for the latest information.
