There’s no major weather events in the forecast this week.  Even the models for Hurricane Maria are indicating she’ll turn NW and away from North America and not directly affect the East Coast.  Yes, it’s still early.  But, maybe, a little positive thinking will keep the East out of harms way.

Temperatures will probably reach the low 90s for a couple of days, but they quickly fall back into the low to mid 80s for the rest of the week.  As the temps fall, we’ll have a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the Tulsa area.

Here’s the NWS forecast.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 86. North northeast wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 61. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming south southeast.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 94. South wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 67. South wind around 10 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming east. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81.

Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81.
