Rain in OK, Isaac, dozens of earthquakes

Mother Nature has been busy today.  Yes, we got a couple of inches of much needed rainfall in Oklahoma.  We could see a little more this evening, but if that does happen, I doubt it’ll measure anything significant.

Dozens of earthquakes have rattled southern California.  I do mean dozens.  There’s been so many, the folks who monitor these events are having a hard time keeping up with them.  Fortunately, the largest one – so far – has only measured 5.3.

The big weather event has been Isaac.  Poised to hit the gulf over the next several hours, he’s expected to become a category 2 storm by the time it reaches shore.  There’s still a bit of uncertainty as to where the storm will actually make landfall, but it looks like Mississippi and Louisiana will take the brunt of it.

It’s been tracking farther west than originally forecast.  If it tracks a tad farther west, Oklahoma could get some beneficial rains from it.
