Chase time is almost upon us

After a couple days of some beneficial rain, we’ll see some sunshine.  At least until Sunday.  Rain is back into the forecast for early next week and there’s even mention of severe storms.

Friday and Saturday sunshine will dominate the conversation, with temps in the upper 60s and low 70s.  For me, it’ll be a chance to get another round of fertilizer down on the lawn.  Sunday will be an okay day, but a chance of rain will dog us through the day.  It won’t amount to much, around a tenth of an inch, but the clouds will return and we’ll have a chance of rain all day and evening.

Rain chances will continue through the day on Monday, but the good stuff appears to be arriving on Tuesday, when we’ll have a good chance of thunderstorms and some of those could be severe.  The unfortunate thing with this is the most likely timing for the best storm chances will be in the overnight hours.

As a chaser, I can only hope for a shift in the timing to either earlier on Tuesday or just waiting until Wednesday.

Okay, I know it’s too early to make a chase decision.  But, it’s the best shot we’ve seen in while and I’m going to milk it for the next couple of days.

This is what the SPC is saying for Tuesday:

Stay tuned.
