It may not look like winter, but the temps are dangerous

We finished the snowfall early this morning with about 0.7″ of the white stuff. Most of that was gone by mid-afternoon. But, the snow left behind dangerous temperatures. It’s 11:00 pm and the real temperature outside is 13F with a wind chill of -4F. Dangerously cold.

The overnight low is expected to fall to 10F with -3 to -4F wind chills. The forecast has caused all of the area schools to close their doors tomorrow. A complete list of closures can be found here: http://www.newson6.com/closings.

A wind chill advisory has been issued and in effect until 9am on Monday.

Highs tomorrow will only reach the low to mid 20s with wind chills in the mid 10s.

If you have to be outside in this, please be careful. Keep the kids and pets indoors until warmer weather comes around on Tuesday.

Midnight update

It’s a little after midnight and the radar is showing snow moving towards Tulsa. We could wake up to a bit more later this morning.

Sleep well.
