I thought I’d take a few minutes to let you all know that I’m okay. I’m sheltering and working from home. It’s an adjustment, but I’ll survive. I hope you’re all doing well, too. It’s stressful for all of us and I hope it doesn’t last too much longer. Trump announced today that the “15 days to slow the spread” is being extended to April 30th. I hope he’s right this time.

Like other cities, the numbers have increased here in Tulsa. We’re now at 61 cases and three deaths. Not large numbers in comparison to some cities, but that’s enough for concern.

Most of the city is closed now. Mayor Bynum is asking everyone to stay home and only go out for essential stuff, like food and meds. Those establishments remain open. But, that order hasn’t stopped some people from ignoring him. I read today that two bars were cited for violating the order. Not real smart.

You’d think it would feel like a ghost town here, but it’s not that way at all. I went to Walgreens to pick up some OTC meds yesterday and traffic was like a normal Saturday. I just don’t understand why. Stay at home folks!

Today, Governor Stitt signed an executive order requiring travelers coming into Oklahoma from six states to self-quarantine for 14 days. Those states on the restriction list are Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Washington, California and Louisiana.

Crazy times.

Like it or not, we’re all in this together. Let’s follow the guidelines and come out of this alive, with our loved ones.

Please stay safe and take care of each other.

Peace.
