I’ve been reading a few articles about how the pandemic started. It’s been traced to China’s wet meat markets and the sale of wildlife for meat. This is a disturbing turn of events.
This isn’t the first time their markets have unleashed bugs. It won’t be the last if they don’t change how they treat their food supply.
All countries need to continue banning travel to and from China until the markets are closed permanently. If they don’t close them, and we don’t respond, this will not be out last pandemic.
In the United States, manufacturing of medications and supplies needed to properly respond to these catastrophes must be brought back into our country. We should NEVER AGAIN be dependent on other counties to survive. Where do most of these items come from? China. That’s right, the same country that unleashed COVID-19 on the world also has the materials needed to fight it. Never again should we be held hostage by China. Move manufacturing home.
I don’t say this because I dislike the Chinese people. That’s not the case at all. I say this because their communist government is not taking action to prevent the next outbreak. I say this because the supplies we need in this country to respond are in their hands. These things have to stop. Build a wall around China until they comply.
I’m pissed off at the media outlets who continue placing blame for our response by the current administration. Realistically, the off-load of our manufacturing to China has been going on for decades and the levels of supplies were set by previous administrations, not the current administration. I hope that will change now. So, quit blaming our government and place blame where it belongs – on China.
