8/22/2021 Update: Henri making landfall as a Tropical Storm.
8/21/2021 Update: Henri is now a Cat1 hurricane. It’s expected to downgrade back to a tropical storm before it reaches land.
TS Henri is expected to become a hurricane over the next several hours as it moves northward. Long Island and Connecticut are under a hurricane warning for Sunday. Not since Hurricane Bob, 30 years ago, has New England had to prepare for a direct hurricane hit. That storm killed several and caused over a billion dollars in damage.
The National Guard are on standby to help with evacuations if they’re needed. Prepare now, if you are in the path of this storm.
As you can see on the satellite image, Henri isn’t a small storm.
