I thought we’d be safe now. I’ve had the booster and the infection numbers had been going down. I was hopeful life was returning to normal.
That has all changed.
A new variant out of Africa is spreading across the globe. The latest infections of the Omicron variant have been found in the Netherlands, UK and Australia. If it’s spread that far, then it’s reasonable to believe that the variant is here, in the U.S., now. Biden shut off travel from several countries in Africa, but it was too late. The variant has begun its spread.
Fauci seems to think the current vaccines may not protect against Omicron. A new vaccine is being developed. If I were a conspiracy nut, I’d say Fauci is trying to stay relevant in a world where he’s not. Moderna is developing a vaccine for it that may be ready in early 2022. More money in their stockholder’s pockets.
Seriously, who benefits most by keeping this pandemic going? The Biden administration, the drug companies and Fauci.
The number of infected continues to climb and expected to get worse during the holidays. It’s still not safe to be among other humans, vaccinated or not. This isn’t ending as soon as I’d hoped. And the country where this all began, China, is still immune from retaliation. Why?
