I hope you all survived the heat wave and had time to enjoy the cooler weather and rain the past few days. It was welcomed relief. Tulsa received 2.3″ of rain. It was needed. Broken Arrow was actually hit by an EF1 tornado. There was some property damage in the city, but I’ve not heard of any injuries. Thank goodness. Fortunately, we didn’t have the flooding that some experienced. Kentucky hit hardest. 28 people have died from the flooding and search and rescue continues as another round of rain is expected to visit the state tonight.

The weather will turn to what we normally expect in August this week. Temperatures in the mid to upper 90s. The humidity will also be higher thanks to the recent rains. A mention of rain is in the forecast for later in the week. We’ll have to wait and see if that materializes.

Don’t despair, we’re only a few weeks away from Autumn. I, for one, am looking forward to that.

Enjoy your week.
