It’s Saturday. Severe weather expected tomorrow.

It has been a long couple of weeks. Work is kicking my ass. I don’t see it getting any better in the near-term. Unfortunately. Publicly, corporate has announced 1,000 will be laid off. I’m tired of this. I’m ready to retire, yet I’m not ready, if that makes any sense.

On the world stage, it’s nuts. The balloons that we’ve shot down; the war Ukraine (now going on for a year); the earthquake in Turkey; the chemical release in Ohio. So much drama and pain. My prayers go out to all of those who have been affected. I’ll admit my disappointment in how our government has responded to all of these events. We have to change that.

Inflation is still the hot topic at company coffee bars across the nation. Massive layoffs at major companies continue. My company is not immune from it. I’m hanging on.

Here at Rose Rock, it’s normal. Nothing major since the water tank blew. Thank goodness. But, I’m holding my breath. My luck the past couple of years hasn’t been the best. I did finally check my 401K plan this week. Sickening. The market, like it or not, needs to improve. My plan is down thousands of dollars since 2019. That will hurt when I do decide to retire.

Weather wise, It has been a cool couple of days. We actually got into the mid-70s earlier in the week, but now we are back to more normal temps – around 30F at night and into the 40s during the day. Today’s high should get up to 45F. It’s 40F and cloudy right now.

This weekend we have a chance for rain and thunderstorms, beginning this afternoon. The strongest storms will be tomorrow. They’re even talking tornadoes being a possibility. We have had tornadoes during the winter months, so it’s not unheard of. Not typical, but not unheard of.

There’s no advisories or watches for my area right now, but I’m sure tomorrow will be different. I plan on watching it closely. Maybe, just maybe, if storms develop early enough, I’ll get out and make some pictures.

Here’s the outlook for tomorrow. I’m in the enhanced area now. The risk areas will likely change as the weather unfolds tomorrow. It looked nothing like this when they posted the graphic earlier today. This one is worse.

NWS Convective Outlook for Sunday. Posed Saturday at 11:40 am.

It will be a wait-and-see game. But, if you’re in Oklahoma, southern Kansas and northern Texas, you should watch this closely tomorrow. You should also make sure your preps are ready, batteries in your weather radio, your phone charged up, batteries in flashlights, and your safe place ready.

As most of you do, I have a LOT to do this weekend. Most of my to-do list are chores I’ve put off. My procrastination is out of hand. One of those things is posting an update for all of you. Hey, I’m getting old. I move a little slower these days.

I’ve also added something to the list. If I’ve got a chance to get out and take pictures, I should probably charge up batteries and clean lenses. It’s been a while. How does this camera work?

With that, I’m going to sign off for now. I’ll post again tomorrow, once the forecast settles.

Have a great day! Stay safe and take care of each other.
