It’s time. It’s time to spring forward. It’s time to stop the insanity and leave the damned time alone! If Florida Senator Marco Rubio has his way, we will.
Rubio has once again introduced the Sunshine Protection Act and it’s passed the senate and on its way to the house.
It was originally presented to the House in 2022 and, as with most bills from Republicans, they took no action and the bill died.
Things have changed.
The bill would stop the time change bullshit, settling on daylight saving time. I’m hoping the bill is passed by the house and becomes law before November.
BTW, having DST as the standard is supported by the majority of people in this country. It’s not a partisan issue.
Until then our clocks are freed, we have to go through the time change thing one more time. This Sunday, March 12, clocks across the country will advance one hour. Will it be the last time? I certainly hope so.
