Sunday November 5 – Coffee time

I’m sittin’ here having my morning coffee. Daylight savings time ended overnight. I’m hoping this will be the last time the time changes. Your thoughts?

I have nothing major planned for today, other than the normal to-do list around the house. You know, laundry, groceries, etc. I started the laundry yesterday, but still have a couple loads to finish up. Yep, normal weekend.

The weather this week has been pretty nice. More fall-like. It’s 62 degrees now (9:41am) with highs expected to be in the low 70s. Not too bad. It’s actually going to get into the 80s for a few days, until a front moves through Wednesday when temps will drop back into the low 60s during the days and 30s and 40s at night. Gotta love Oklahoma weather.

Now let’s rant a bit.

Congress approves aid package

Well, it looks like we’re funding another war. This time in Israel. Congress approved a $14.3B aid package for Israel. Biden says he’ll veto it. In Biden’s “National Security Package” of $105B, only 12% of that bill is actually funding National Security and most of that is going to fund support for the illegal aliens entering the U.S. illegally from the southern border. I’m certain Biden and the rest of the politicians don’t listen to what the majority of Americans are wanting. Close the border. Deport illegals. And fund only what is necessary to protect the United States, like focusing more on building up our Military and less about pro-nouns. We need a strong and able military.

As I expected the limited bill congress passed was stopped in the senate. These people are oblivious to what this country really needs. Biden is a weak president. The Senate and Congress are weak. This has to change.

WW3

There’s been a lot of talk about being on the brink of WW3. Some “experts” are saying we’re already there. I’m not convinced WW3 is already here. But I do think we are getting closer to major conflicts all over the globe and, perhaps, here. I’m not necessarily anti-war, but I am against setting the direction for foreign wars using taxpayer money as the driver. Money our country does not have, and continuing to deficit spend to fund wars will not improve that.

I’m old school. If you don’t have the money, you don’t spend it. That’s the way I manage my budget. That’s the way my state and city manage budgets. Why should the federal government be any different? Balance the budget and start paying back the trillions of dollars we owe to other countries. Some of those countries are our enemy.

Inflation

If anyone thinks rising inflation is improving, it’s not. Each month, the inflation rate increases – adding to the many previous months of high inflation. The costs are NOT going back down. The cost to survive these days continues to increase. Food costs, energy costs, healthcare costs, taxes, insurance – they are all higher than they’ve ever been and continue to rise, and wages are not keeping up with it. Like most of Americans, I’m making adjustments. Are you?

Protests

The protests across the country are out of control. Some are on the side of Israel, and some are on the side of the terrorist group Hamas. Seriously? Maybe these misguided idiots need to use their energy to improve things in the United States. Their home. The reality is, they won’t. They won’t get the press that protesting something they have no control over gets. How ’bout the mentally ill homeless people who dot every street corner in Tulsa? How ’bout the homeless encampments that plague every major city in the country? How ’bout the folks who are struggling to live below the poverty line? I guess those realities are okay with these people. No reason to resolve that. No? Bullshit.

Domestic Terrorism

The FBI has published a statement saying that the potential for terrorism in the country is increasing. It’s not a matter of “if” it happens, it’s “when”. You can read the full statement here: Threats to the Homeland — FBI.

Someone needs to clue the president in: The U.S. Constitution does not grant the U.S. President the authority to decide the fate of the world. Biden’s assumption of this role is leading us to a dangerous situation.

Prepping?

I’ve never been one to be a doomsday thinker. I do stress that people should be prepared for natural disasters that are common in their areas and prepare accordingly. In Oklahoma, we prep for severe weather. Tornadoes being the greatest risk, but we also need to prepare for severe winter weather. I keep a weeks’ worth of food and water on hand. That’s it. Should I be doing more? I don’t want to become a fanatic, but maybe I should be doing more. What are you doing? Anything more than what I’ve described?

Well, that’s enough doom and gloom for one day. I hope you are all doing well. Continue to dig through all the bullshit to find truth. React to that truth accordingly.

Until next time.
