Updated Saturday, May 21st.  Added 5/19 photographs.

10:41 pm: We’re in Dodge City at the La Quinta (don’t tell my boss), having a drink or two. We chased a couple storms today, one into Reno County and the other to the south of Dodge, which ended up being a pretty good storm. Nothing really major though. Things just didn’t fall into place. This season has been that way. All the hopes in the world and nothing to show for it. Not even good BBQ today.

Here’s the only photographs taken today.  The storm south of Dodge City, KS.

Tomorrow is a new day and looks like a better setup. Of course we won’t know what we’ll do until morning. Hopefully it turns into an eventful day. Cross your fingers.

We did drive through Greensburg, KS today. It’s amazing how much they’ve rebuilt in such a short time. The year after the tornado, I visited Greensburg. It was heart-wrenching to see the destruction. It’s nice to see the re-birth of the city.

Thanks for following us. See you all tomorrow.

2:31 pm: stopped for a quick bite and ready to hit the road again. Medicine Lodge area is still the target. Tornado watches have been issued.

12:42 pm: The gear is loaded and we’re looking at the possible target for today. At this point it looks like Medicine Lodge or a little north of there is the most likely area for storm development. At any rate, once we get gassed up, we’ll head in that direction. The actual target is up for negotiation right now. As we get closer, we’ll probably adjust some.
