We left Dodge City around 11 am and focused our attention to the south, in Oklahoma.  The models weren’t giving us much hope though.  It appeared that today would be a bust.

Not having breakfast in Dodge, we stopped in Meade, KS for lunch.  Terrible.

We drove on the backside of the dryline, which gave us an awesome view of it. Usually we’re ahead of it waiting for storm development.  I guess I should have stopped to shoot a couple pictures, but didn’t take the time. We had a long drive ahead of us.

When we reached I-40, west of Oklahoma City, we called the day.  Nothing was going to develop along the dryline and home was still 4 hours away.

Arrived back in Tulsa a little after 7 pm and ready to get the shoes off and relax.  Too many miles with little result.
