The last snow was great. It was real pretty, but didn’t impact travel much. At least not in the Tulsa area.
We have another chance of snow early in the week, but the timing couldn’t be worse.
I’m planning to drive up into Kansas on Tuesday to be at the hospital when my granddaughter is born. The snow being forecast for Monday night could put those plans at risk.
Locally, we could see around 4 inches of snow fall on Monday. Significant snowfall is expected in Kansas, where they could see 6 inches or more. Parts of Kansas and Oklahoma have already been placed under a Winter Storm Watch for Sunday through late Monday night.
It looks like the watch area could expand over the next couple of days to include much of northeast Oklahoma.
If you’re in or near the watch area, monitor the forecasts. It would also be a good idea to get necessary travel out of the way this weekend. You know: grocery store, gas station, liquor store.
Let’s hope the forecasts are wrong. I’ll be very disappointed if the only thing keeping me from being there with my daughter is a winter storm!
