After a couple days of some beneficial rain, we’ll see some sunshine. At least until Sunday. Rain is back into the forecast for early next week and there’s even mention of severe storms. Friday and Saturday sunshine will dominate the conversation, with temps in the upper 60s and low 70s.
Looking at the radar, another line of showers and storms are heading to the SE and will likely impact the Tulsa area later this morning. I don’t think they’ll turn severe, but we could get some lightning and thunder, along with rain, when they do get here. The Severe Thunderstorm
A Tornado Warning has been issued for Cherokee, Muskogee and Wagoner counties. Effective until 9:45 pm. Several counties in eastern Oklahoma remain under a tornado watch until 4 a.m., includes the city of Tulsa.
There’s a slight risk of severe thunderstorms today here in Oklahoma. With that, there’s also a risk for tornadoes. It’s not a major risk right now, but worth keeping an eye on. Timing will be an issue for chase opportunities. Much will depend on how things shape up through the
